Preventive & Corrective Maintenance

The installation process begins with the physical mounting and structural setup of the main base transceiver station (BTS) cabinets and outdoor units. Installation teams secure the equipment racks to floor foundations or platform frames, ensuring proper leveling, anchoring, and alignment. All primary hardware components—including baseband units (BBU), remote radio units (RRU), and power distribution modules—are systematic mounted according to engineering floor plans and thermal dissipation requirements.

Once the main equipment is fixed in place, the core power and grounding systems are established to ensure operational stability and safety. Main DC power supply cables are routed from the power rectifier cabinets to individual transceiver units with appropriate circuit breaker protection. Simultaneously, a comprehensive grounding network is connected, linking all chassis, racks, and structural mounts directly to the main site ground busbar to safeguard sensitive electronics against electrical surges and lightning strikes.

The antenna feeder system installation involves hoisting, mounting, and aligning the RF antennas on towers or elevated structures. Precision mechanical brackets are used to secure sector antennas at specified heights and azimuth angles. Coaxial feeder cables or fiber-optic lines (CPRI) are then meticulously routed down the tower, supported by weather-resistant cable clamps and hoisted with minimum bend radii to prevent signal degradation and physical damage over time.

Finally, all outdoor connections undergo rigorous weatherproofing using waterproofing gel boots or self-amalgamating rubber tapes to block moisture ingress. Sweep testing and Distance-to-Fault (DTF) measurements are performed across the entire feeder path using site analyzers to verify line impedance and Voltage Standing Wave Ratio (VSWR). Upon passing physical line testing, the system undergoes initial power-on validation and cable tagging before handing over for commissioning.
